My Take

The Freedom Unlimited is a great card for anyone who wants to keep things simple and earn cashback with a card that has no annual fee.

However, the real magic happens when you pair it with some of Chase’s other cards, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card.

When you do this, you unlock the ability to earn Ultimate Rewards points instead of cash back.

These points can then be combined with points from your other Chase cards, and then transferred to Chase’s airline and hotel partners to make each point worth many multiples more.
