  What We Think

Great option if you want to make money travel blogging but don’t have money to invest in the more expensive travel blogging courses I mention below.

Searching for an honest Travel Blog Prosperity review?

If so, you’re in the right place.

Jessie Festa — the successful blogger who created Travel Blog Prosperity — has mastered the art of profitable travel blogging and helps other aspiring bloggers do the same.

But does her subscription-based membership justify the cost?

And will it really be the missing puzzle piece in your journey to a money-making travel blog?

That’s what we’ll cover today.

In this Travel Blog Prosperity review I’ll show you…

  • A behind-the-scenes video of the membership and courses
  • What type of people the membership is perfect for
  • Who it’ll be a waste of time for
  • What I like, and what I DON’T like
  • Tips for getting the most out of the membership

Ready Set Go!

👀 This is a Level 3 review. Read more about our in-depth course review process.

TL;DR – Is it Worth it?

After blogging for almost three years now, I’ve become more and more skeptical when it comes to blogging courses.

I always think…

  • How do I know this person knows what they’re talking about?
  • How do I know what worked for them is still working today?
  • How do I know it’s not just full of basic info I already know?

Jessie puts this skepticism to rest by requiring essentially zero commitment to test everything out.

Normally the course only opens twice per year. But you can access everything for just $9 through this “backdoor” affiliate link (enter coupon code PROJECTUNTETHERED at checkout – new members only). Normally, the price is $49/month.

But is it worth it?

screenshot of travel blog prosperity sales page

When I saw I had access to all the course material for the cost of a Chipotle burrito, my first thought was, “If it’s so cheap, how good can this really be?

But as I dug deeper into the course, I was blown away.

The reason the intro offer to this membership is so cheap is to get you hooked. Once you see the value you get out of it every month, you’ll almost certainly want to continue paying the full monthly fee.

That said, the course isn’t perfect, and it’s definitely not for everyone.

And in this brutally honest review, I’ll show you exactly what I mean.

Alrighty then! On to the nitty-grittys!

Let’s start with a behind-the-scenes look at the course itself…

What is Travel Blog Prosperity? (Inside Look)

First off, if you haven’t already, make sure to sign up for Jessie’s free 4-day Travel Blog Makeover course. It’s packed with value, and it allows you to test the waters before making any commitments.

Now, to help you understand what you’re getting yourself into, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the course (+ the things I love, and the things that are meh).

What’s Included In The Travel Blog Prosperity Membership

If you skipped the video above, here’s a recap of everything that’s included (the video will give you a better feel of what it actually looks like and what to expect)

The membership is broken down into four parts:

  1. The Course Collections
  2. The Member’s Lounge
  3. The Calls and Workshops
  4. The Bonuses

#1.) The Ever-Growing Course Collections

screenshot of travel blog prosperity dashboard

When you join Travel Blog Prosperity, you get instant access to over 47 course collections (and growing). Think of these like mini-courses focused on a single blogging topic. Each month, a brand new course is published.

A few examples of these courses include (see full list in video above):

  • Your Advanced SEO Overhaul
  • Bookkeeping & Taxes for Bloggers
  • How to Get Your Blog Into Mediavine
  • Crafting a Highly Profitable Affiliate Strategy
  • Understanding Instagram for Blog Biz Growth
  • How to Monetize Your Blog with Online Courses
  • How to Profitably Work with Brands as a Blogger
  • Crafting a Successful Social Media Strategy + Pinterest
  • Crafting a Content & List-Building Strategy That Converts

These are just a teensy sample of the 47 mini-courses. Now, let me tell you…47 is A LOT!

It can be a bit overwhelming when you first log in, but it’s actually quite useful. There is something for every level blogger — from newbie to advanced — so you can pick and choose whichever topic you need the most help with.

So if you’ve already been blogging for a while, you don’t need to slog through the basics (but it’s there if you need it).

She also made a handy guide that shows which courses to focus on depending on what “phase” you are in with your blog (ex. Foundations, Growth, Monetization, etc.).

Anywho, here’s a sneak peek of what each course looks like. This inside the “How to Profitably Work with Brands” course:

Sorry for the blurry pic…time to break out those spectacles and zoom in! 🙂

All lessons include videos, workbooks, and checklists. And many also include exercises, templates, case studies, and other bonuses.

The best part is, Jessie sticks to teaching topics she is an expert on, and recruits outside experts to teach the rest.

#3.) Calls and Live Workshops

One of the perks of maintaining your membership (vs. consuming the material and peacing out) is the regular calls to help you stay on track.

This kind of accountability and support is invaluable. Building a successful travel blog is hard enough as it is. Trying to do it alone makes it even harder.

Calls are broken up into coaching calls, goal-setting workshops, and bonus learning workshops.

Bi-monthly Coaching Calls

These calls are led by Jessie, and sometimes she brings on another expert to help answer questions about a certain theme.

What I love about these types of coaching calls is barely any students take advantage of them. So if you go to everyone, you basically get a mini private consultation with Jessie every month to ask her anything you’re struggling with.

It’s insanely valuable to have someone who has “been there, done that” in your corner, constantly giving you clarity.

Goal Setting Workshops

Speaking of clarity, as a blogger, it’s super easy to get shiny-object syndrome, get lost chasing rabbit holes, and lose months of progress by veering off track.

The monthly goal-setting call (along with the worksheet) gives you clarity on exactly what you need to do each month to meet your blog growth goals.

Live Workshops

Bonus workshops are streamed in the Member’s Lounge (which we’ll get to in a sec). Sometimes these are led by outside experts that Jessie brings in. Other times they are led by fellow students who have mastered a certain aspect of their blogging business.

screenshot of travel blog prosperity workshop replays

It’s insightful to see multiple points of view and how your peers have solved problems you may be struggling with.

For example, there was recently a workshop on how to land brand partnerships led by a brand partnership business owner.

#4.) Member’s Lounge (AKA Facebook Group)

There’s a lot of good stuff going on in the Facebook group. It currently has 122 members, which makes it active enough to be valuable (although it could be better) and cozy enough to get to know each other.

screenshot of travel blog prosperity member's lounge

In the Facebook group, you can find:

Live Student-Led and Bonus Workshops. As mentioned earlier, students regularly teach and share insights they’ve discovered. As a reward for contributing, you increase your affiliate earnings from 10% to 30%.

Collab threads. A place to post and join collaborations with other bloggers in the group.

Clarity threads. Post any roadblocks you hit and Jessie and the group (mostly Jessie) help you get unstuck.

Challenges. Fun ways to focus on achieving a certain goal in a specific time frame.

Reflections (for prizes). If you post a quick video responding to a reflection question Jessie asks, you get entered in a raffle for a free 45-minute call one-on-one coaching call (or a business book shipped to your house). It doesn’t look like many people take the time to participate (and they take like 30 seconds to do), so it could be a good way to score a free consult.

A place to ask any questions you have and network with others. Whenever you have a doubt or want to connect with others, just post in the group.

To be honest, I’d rate the Member’s Lounge as “semi-active”. It could be better. It seems like most posts are only seen by about 20 people, and the posts that are meant for engagement (and not just an announcement) usually have 5 to 15 comments (including Jessie’s responses).

On one hand, it’d be cool to have more people interacting. On the other hand, it kind of gives the group a cozy feel and lets you get even more personalized attention from Jessie.

#5.) Other Bonuses + Perks

The membership also comes with an almost overwhelming amount of bonuses and perks. Here are just a few:

Onboarding call. Each member gets a free 15-minute onboarding call with Jessie to help you put a solid plan in place.

VIP opportunities. Every week, Jessie sends an email with insider opportunities like paid writing gigs, freelance opportunities, and other exclusive collaborations. For example, this week she asked for contributions to one of her new blog posts. I contributed and got a high-DA backlink in exchange!

Guest post opportunities on her site. Another way to score a high-DA backlink is to guest post for Jessie. She says she will work with any student to find a topic they can write for her blog.

Masterminds. A few times a year, Jessie helps set up small mastermind groups among the students. I was already a part of an accountability group before joining Travel Blog Prosperity. And let me tell you, joining a group like this was one of the best blogging decisions I’ve ever made.

Templates (which ones specifically). Brand pitching templates, …you name it. Since you can copy the structure in these templates, you’ll never have to worry if you’re “doing it right”.

Workbooks. Each course has a workbook to help you organize your thoughts and apply the principles directly to your blog.

Directories and Other Helpful Resources. For example, a list of 60+ vetted influencer and content network directories you can use to find partnerships.

What Travel Blog Prosperity is NOT

Travel Blog Prosperity is not just another one of those courses you can blast through in a weekend, learn everything you need to know, and be done with.

It is a HUGE library of resources, and each course may take considerable time to implement.

And while it’s basically a one-stop shop to learn how to do just about any skills related to blogging, it won’t necessarily make you an expert on all those skills.

For example, the SEO course is full of gold nuggets and strategies for boosting your search traffic. But it won’t make you an SEO expert. Since it’s such a broad topic, you’ll probably need to do some outside research to dig deeper.

In some cases, you might find that a guide teaches what to do, but it’s a little fuzzy on how to do it.

One glaring example is with the SEO training. It recommends looking for low competition keywords with a certain search volume. It gives you some tools you can use to do it. But it doesn’t really get into the nitty-gritty strategies of how to best find these magic keywords.

(To learn how to do that, I highly recommend Fat Stacks — see my full Fat Stacks review here).

Travel Blog Prosperity Review: Pros and Cons

I’m a man with lots of opinions. And I don’t hold back. Here’s what I like and don’t like about Travel Blog Prosperity.

What I DIDN’T like

No Lifetime Access. If you stop paying the monthly subscription, you no longer have access to the material. When compared to other courses that offer lifetime access, you might feel a little jipped. That said, you could argue that this approach to charging is more likely to get you results. If you’re like me, you’ve purchased courses that you never finished (or maybe never even started!). When money is on the line each month, you feel pressure to get things done. Plus, each month you get more value with new courses, VIP opportunities, and direct access to Jessie for “office hours” calls.

Wide, But Not Always Deep. This course covers just about everything you’d ever want to know to create a successful travel blogging business. But since it’s so broad, it can’t always go deep. For example, it’s not going to make you an expert in Instagram, Facebook, Ads, SEO, Branding, WordPress, etc. That would be impossible to do in one course.

Sure, it’ll get you up to speed with the basics you need to know to grow and create a profitable business. But you’ll eventually need further resources to take any of these topics to the next level. If you expect it to be the only course you ever need in your entire career, you might be disappointed.

Not All Info is 100% Updated. Many of the courses are pretty evergreen, meaning the strategies are essentially timeless. That said, other topics like social media are constantly changing. And since Travel Blog Prosperity covers so much, you’re not always going to get the cutting-edge tactics. She tries to update everything as much as possible. For example, she’s added three modules to the Instagram course to cover new features that were released.

Not All Content Will Be Relevant to You. Since there are so many different ways to monetize a blog, there may be course collections that don’t apply to you. That means, from time to time, you may pay your monthly subscription but not be interested in the new content that’s released. That said, if you take advantage of everything else the membership has to offer — like live workshops, office hours, and VIP opportunities — you still get your money’s worth.

What I DID like

Open access to Jessie. This alone is probably worth the subscription. It’s like having an expert coach at your beck and call to help you grow faster and avoid costly mistakes. It isn’t one of those courses where you’re left to figure out everything yourself. Jessie is there to give you personal help during office hours, the Member’s Lounge, and email.

Mastermind groups. I already have a mastermind group before starting the course, and it has hands-down been one of the strongest influences in my progress.

Rewards for participating and contributing. This is not only cool if you want to earn rewards, but it also ensures that there’s always plenty of activity going on between members so the group doesn’t go stale.

Expert roundups. It’s not just her pretending to know everything. She recruits experts to teach different topics, like the legal side of blogging, taxes, tech issues, etc.

Constantly updated. Since this is a subscription model, Jessie focuses on constantly putting out new helpful info so you continue to get value and stay subscribed (unlike a one-time payment course where the creator has little incentive to add more value after you buy).

Good for all levels. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced blogger, you are guaranteed to get your money’s worth. Beginners will likely subscribe longer to have Jessie’s support as they grow. Advanced bloggers will pick up the gold nuggets they need to fill in their knowledge gaps and can cancel as soon as they finish. I’ve been blogging for 3 years and picked up some huge tips and strategies to take things to the next level.

The Verdict: Is Travel Blog Prosperity Worth It?

Travel Blog Prosperity is the best travel blogging training I’ve seen (even better than Nomadic Matt’s course, in my opinion), but it’s only worth it if you take advantage of what the membership offers. If you participate in the community, ask questions during office hours, and follow up on VIP opportunities, it’s worth every penny.

If you don’t take advantage of what you’re paying for, well, then, it’s probably not the best investment (unless you just join temporarily to take the courses you’re interested in).

How Travel Blog Prosperity Could Actually SAVE You Money

If you want to start a profitable blog in today’s day and age, you need a proven plan. If you try to figure everything out on your own from scratch, it will take so long to see results (if you ever see them at all) that 99% of people will give up and fail.

I’m not exaggerating.

Travel blogging can be brutal. Without clarity and direction, you’ll waste months (or even years) on things that don’t work. I’m speaking from experience here.

Would you pay $9 to save yourself a year of lost time?

I don’t know about you, but I’d pay many multiples of that. Time is money, amigos.

And if the guidance from Travel Blog Prosperity helps your blog start earning 6 months or a year early, that’s A LOT of money on the table.

Anywho, just my two cents.

If I would’ve had this course when I first started, I’d have saved a fortune in mistakes and wasted time.

Travel Blog Prosperity Review Summary

Overall, Travel Blog Prosperity is a great investment, but it isn’t perfect for everyone…

  • It’s subscription-based, so if you don’t regularly use it, you’re paying for nothing.
  • It has so much content that it might be challenging to know where to start.
  • Depending on your unique blogging business strategy, you have to cherry-pick what interests you.

But if you want to turn your travel blog into a business that earns enough to support yourself, including clarity and hand-holding from experts at every step of the process…

…then I can’t see a scenario where Travel Blog Prosperity could disappoint you.

That said, as with any course, you get out what you put in, and nothing happens overnight.

(So yeah. If you aren’t willing to put in hard work or think this will be the magic pill to quick riches—I suppose you’d be disappointed.)

Is There a Travel Blog Prosperity Discount Code?

Normally, membership costs $49 per month and only opens for enrollment twice per year.

Fortunately, I convinced Jessie to give me a special link that gives you a “backdoor” into the course for $9.

You get instant access to everything mentioned in this post for less than a round of drinks, and can cancel at the end of the first month if you want to (but if you take advantage of everything she offers each month, I doubt you’ll want to).

All you need to do is click the link below and use the coupon code PROJECTUNTETHERED on the checkout page. This offer is for new members only.

To lower monthly costs even further, you can switch to a three-month, six-month, or annual plan after your $9 trial.

✨ Bonus Offer

If you purchase using any link on this page, I’ll throw in my Work from Anywhere Toolkit ($25 value) for free. This mega-resource is packed with 200+ free (or very cheap) tools to help automate your business — and even do it while traveling the world!

Just forward me a copy of your receipt with subject line “WORK FROM ANYWHERE TOOLKIT BONUS” and I’ll give you access to the toolkit.

Travel Blog Prosperity Alternatives

There are other courses available out there that teach you how to build a profitable travel blog, like theScale Tour Travel Blog course and the SEO Roadmap for Travel Bloggers.

Both of these courses have their upsides and downsides.

The Scale Your Travel Blog to 6 Figures course is the gold standard as far as travel blogging courses go.

It’s way more hands-on than any other blogging course out there, with tons of 1:1 coaching if you decide to go with the higher-tier option. That said, all this personalized coaching comes with a significantly higher price tag – upwards of $3,000 smackeroos.

That’s nothing to sneeze at, but at the same time, having personalized guidance helps you reach your blogging income goals faster compared to more DIY approaches — so you’d have to think of it as an investment.

The other course, SEO Roadmap for Travel Bloggers, is a great alternative if you’re looking to rank your articles in Google.

As the name suggests, it focuses primarily on SEO strategies, so it isn’t as comprehensive as the Travel Blog Prosperity course. Getting SEO traffic from Google also isn’t as easy as it used to be, so you might be fighting an uphill battle with this strategy.

In my experience, I found that the Travel Blog Prosperity course is a good “Goldilocks” course to get you started —  not a ton of personalized attention, but it covers your based to get your blog up and running (without breaking the bank).

Where Can I Sign Up?

Again — for all you skimmers out there — to receive the discounted price as a new member, you need to enter the coupon code PROJECTUNTETHERED on the checkout page.
