Mitch is your typical nomadic backpacker. Or at least, he was. But after stopping in Colombia to take "one week" of salsa lessons, his life took a sharp left turn. He met a cute Colombian girl in dance class, fell in love, and got married. Over half a decade has passed since he left his career to travel the world as a digital nomad, and he's never looked back.
Nowadays, he’s the blogger behind Project Untethered—where he runs an awesome email newsletter and Youtube channel teaching adventure-craved wanderlusters how to escape the rat race, earn money from anywhere, and build an “untethered life”.
His advice has been featured in Forbes, USA Today, Yahoo, MSN, Reader’s Digest, Condé Nast Traveler, and more.
Mitch earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Athletic Training from Grand Valley State University and was seconds away from starting a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy when...he got bit by the travel bug.
He has yet to recover.
One symptom of "the bite" was a newfound obsession with all the different ways to earn a location-independent income.
This obsession lead to earning a Content Marketing Certification, graduating from multiple copywriting cohorts, binging various virtual assistant training programs, taking courses to become a transcriptionist, and even dabbling in an e-Commerce business.
Through all those twists and turns, blogging is what ultimately stole his heart.
In addition to Project Untethered, Freelancer Mitch has helped upwards of 100 consulting clients laser in their company's copywriting and marketing strategies.
