Looking for a Proven Amazon Course review from someone who’s actually dug around the program?
I got you.
The Proven Amazon course makes some mighty big claims — namely that they have more success stories than any other Amazon course and that their course is actually required curriculum in some college programs.
Sounds great — but once you actually get inside the course, is it worth all the hype?
And most importantly, can it really help you start an Amazon business that earns a full-time income (and more)?
Our research team spent hours dissecting the program to determine if it lives up to its reputation.
Nobody wants to waste money on a mediocre course (been there, done that). So in this PAC review, we’ll give you an honest, inside look so you can decide for yourself if it’s right for you.
Ready. Set. Go.
Psst! If you’re still on the fence after reading this review, I recommend checking out this Amazon 101 Blueprint to test the waters. It costs $1, and it’ll set you off in the right direction.

Proven Amazon Course review: What you need to know
The Proven Amazon Course is jam-packed with tools and lessons designed to help you build a successful Amazon business. The course is essentially a giant bank of training modules you can pick and choose from depending on your experience level and goals.
That said, it’s definitely not right for everyone.
And before making any diving in head-first, you should know what you’re getting into.
Let’s start by investigating who actually created the course.

Jim Cockrum review: Who even is this guy?
Jim Cockrum has been crushing it in the e-commerce space since the ‘90s.
He’s an author and entrepreneur from Indiana with an active YouTube channel (600+ videos) and podcast (700+ episodes) where he dives deep into Amazon seller strategies.
His book Silent Sales Machine is also a huge hit with over half a million readers.
Long story short, Jim knows what he’s talking about.
This has nothing to do with the course content (which we’ll get to in a sec), but after following Jim’s YouTube channel, I also realized he shares my beliefs as a Christian.
Depending on your background and beliefs, this might mean nothing to you. But for me, it tacks on some trustworthiness points.
Trust is super important in an industry that’s so full of get-rich-quick hype.
What’s included in Jim’s Proven Amazon Course?
The course material is broken down into 2 parts:
- The Proven Amazon Course (PAC)
- The Facebook group
#1.) The Proven Amazon Course
PAC is likely different from any online course you’ve taken before in that most students won’t take it in order.
It’s more like a ginormous library of 40+ training modules. (See list of main modules here).
These modules are each available for purchase individually, but with PAC, you get access to them all for a tiny fraction of the price.
The module you start with depends on your experience level and goals.
If you’re a brand spanking new Amazon seller, you can start by knocking out the “Amazon Basics” training.
But if you’re a veteran, you can jump ahead to the modules that teach the skill or strategy you want to apply next to your business (advanced sourcing methods, PPC, external advertising, etc.)
Unlike other Amazon courses that focus on one strategy, PAC includes all the strategies so you can pick whichever one fits best into your life.
And after you master one income stream, you can choose modules with other strategies to continue expanding your business.
To be honest, when you first log in, this can all look a bit overwhelming.
Fortunately, there are some filters or “roadmaps” you can select to group together all the courses you need to focus on for your particular goal.
Here are the roadmaps you can choose from:
Getting started. Learn to research and land profitable products, master the ins-and-outs of Amazon Seller Central, and manage your inventory like a pro.
Arbitrage: Low-budget sourcing. Simplify your prepping and shipping process, learn to scour the web for low-cost goods, and build a memorable brand.
Advanced: Long-term strategies. Jim and company walk you through different processes like hiring virtual assistants, negotiating with wholesalers, and building better product listings than the competition.
Business building. Learn how to automate your business processes with nifty tools so you can save precious time.
International sellers. Gain a competitive edge by learning step-by-step how to source products from China.
Merch by Amazon. Learn how to create royalty-generating product pages on Amazon so you can enjoy a steady passive income stream. Purple keyboard cat t-shirt anyone?
Support and resources. A deep vault of resources covering everything from product listing guidelines to handling your business taxes.
Live events. Valuable insights from e-commerce pros who dish out tips for scaling your business, finding high-selling replenishable goods, and building successful brands.
Webinars and workshops. Find valuable product partners through a private Facebook group and learn techniques like product bundling so you can boost your earnings.
Once you choose your path and dig in, you’ll notice that the lessons vary quite a bit — from video lessons, to eBooks, to Amazon conference speaker recordings.
To help you imagine, here’s an example of what the standard video lessons look like:
Also, since there are so many different pathways and lessons, you’ll have a variety of different expert teachers (some more engaging than others).
#2.) The Facebook group
The Facebook group is ginormous and extremely helpful. Best of all it’s actually free, so you can join the group even if you don’t end up signing up for PAC (highly recommended).
There are nearly 73,000 members with 42 new posts from today alone.
I found tons of engagement with folks getting their questions answered and finding encouragement. It’s a decent mix of newcomers and experienced sellers sharing their process.
Jim doesn’t shy away from commenting on member’s Amazon stats and questions either.
Jim also hosts weekly live calls each Monday to share the latest seller strategies and answer questions live from the group.
Lastly, it’s just plain inspiring to see other people posting their results in real-time. If you’re ever in a rut, seeing posts like these motivates you to keep going.
The Proven Amazon Course cons ❌
Like I said at the beginning, this course isn’t perfect. Here are the downsides you need to be aware of.
❌ Disorganized layout. PAC offers a heaping amount of content but the course lacks a clear progression to follow. Deciding how to move through the course can be confusing. The material itself is gold, but you may need to dig around a bit to find exactly what you’re looking for. (Update: To help with this, they started a “Kickstart Group” that helps noobies navigate the community.)
❌ Not all the presenters will “wow” you. While some expert guests kept me on the edge of my seat, others are a bit dry. Again, the info itself is on point, but you might need a shot of espresso to power through a few of the vids. Jim explained that this is because they have real people — like you and me — sharing what is working for them. They prioritize authenticity and transparency over “polished content”.
❌ Video quality varies. Not all guest experts have a professional video studio, so some videos look better than others (if that matters to you)
❌ Not always “bite-sized”. Since this is basically a giant bank of different trainings, there isn’t one uniform style. Video lessons can range from 2 minutes to over 2 hours. So if you’re used to other courses that give you a consistent stream of ~10-minute bite-sized lessons, PAC takes some getting used to.
The Proven Amazon Course pros ✅
✅ Super affordable. PAC is hands-down the best budget-friendly Amazon course on the market. You get instant access to the entire mega course library for $39 per month, and you can cancel anytime. That’s much easier to swallow than competing courses that cost $1,000+ (albeit for lifetime access).
✅ PAC’d out with comprehensive info. PAC lets you choose a custom path to earning online instead of the cookie-cutter approach that other courses take. Since it teaches multiple business models, you can diversify and create multiple income streams.
✅ Tons of sourcing strategies. Figuring out the best way to source products is key to expanding those rookie profit margins. PAC covers the topic from every angle — from sourcing in-person, locally, internationally, or from online retailers.
✅ Successful students. Jim makes it clear that results aren’t guaranteed. That said, he literally has 1,000+ student success stories, so what he teaches is clearly working. In our research, we’ve yet to see another Amazon course with this many success stories.
✅ Active community. There’s a lot of dead Facebook groups out there, but the PAC group ain’t one of ‘em. This group is full of wisdom and the perfect place to get questions answered (and remember, it’s free for anyone).
✅ Generous refund policy. If you buy the course and decide it’s not for you, just contact the team within 30 days for a no-questions-asked full refund.
TL;DR: Is The Proven Amazon Course worth it?
The Proven Amazon Course is not perfect, but it’s a worthwhile investment for anyone running an Amazon business or looking to jump in the game.
It’s hard to beat the sheer amount of strategies and insights you’ll learn by taking the course. That said, not all the content is equal in value. You sometimes need to dig through some fluff to get to the good stuff.
The training includes everything you need to know to start and scale an Amazon business from A to Z.
But it also includes extra niche lessons on topics like direct Kindle publishing, generating traffic on Pinterest, and Shopify training to keep those entrepreneurial gears churning.
Overall, the Proven Amazon Course is for you if:
✅ You’re new to the Amazon e-commerce space and have no idea where to start.
✅ You’re firmly planted in the Amazon e-commerce space but need some new strategies to grow your businesses.
✅ You’ve got at least a small budget to get started and you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and take action.
The Proven Amazon Course is NOT for you if:
❌ You don’t have time to apply what you learn.
❌ You want your hand held with crystal clear action steps.
❌ You’re bank account is at zero and can barely pay the bills, but you think starting an Amazon business from scratch will be your overnight salvation.
Is there a Proven Amazon Course discount code?
After scouring the web, we weren’t able to find any sweet discounts. That said, this is already the best bang for your buck Amazon training that you’ll find on the internet.
If you’re unable to invest $39 to learn how to start your Amazon business, then I sincerely recommend waiting until you have a bit more cushion in your savings account.
I’m not saying this to be mean — I just think it will give you the best odds of success.
Amazon businesses take time to build up. So spending your rent money in hopes of making a quick buck is not a good idea.

Proven Amazon Course alternatives
The Proven Amazon Course is the best-value Amazon course for most people.
That said, in certain circumstances, I recommend other courses.
Circumstance #1:
If you are 100% certain that you want to private label your own product and sell on Amazon (not beginner-friendly, btw), take a look at my Freedom Ticket review. This course comes free when you subscribe to Helium 10, one of the most popular all-in-one tools for Amazon sellers. If you plan to use this software (which is smart), then there’s no reason to pay for an outside training course. You can get a big Helium 10 discount here.
Circumstance #2
If you’re interested specifically in the wholesaling business model (slightly more beginner-friendly) and want more hand-holding than PAC provides, check out my [Marketplace Superheroes review]. These guys are definitely more “hypey” than PAC, but they do have a solid course that is more laser-focused than PAC’s build-your-own-adventure style. To get a taste, check out their free Amazon wholesaling masterclass.
If neither of the above two points describes you, then stick with PAC.
Mitch is your typical nomadic backpacker. Or at least, he was. But after stopping in Colombia to take “one week” of salsa lessons, his life took a sharp left turn. He met a cute Colombian girl in dance class, fell in love, and got married. Over half a decade has passed since he left his career to travel the world as a digital nomad, and he’s never looked back.
Nowadays, he’s the blogger behind Project Untethered — where he runs an awesome email newsletter and Youtube channel teaching adventure-craved wanderlusters how to escape the rat race, earn money from anywhere, and build an “untethered life”.
His advice has been featured in Forbes, USA Today, Yahoo, MSN, Reader’s Digest, Condé Nast Traveler, and more.
A fair overview – thanks Mitch.
We have 19 new modules coming in the first few months of 2024 (all free for PAC students.) We cover every imaginable strategy for building income streams with Amazon.
Couple thoughts on the negatives you mentioned:
We are in the middle of a major overhaul of the PAC content layout area in order to make it easier to navigate (early 2024)
We have a $37 (one time) kickstart group that helps new students navigate Amazon and our community/training. 75% of all new students go through these group trainings and 100% of them LOVE IT (about 400 students so far have done this)
You mentioned that “not all of the presenters have the ‘wow’ factor” – we are quite proud of that actually. Our entire leadership team for the ProvenAmazonCourse consists of REAL people who came from knowing nothing about ecommerce to building real businesses. IN many cases they’ve never presented before, but we encourage them to share what they know – the CONTENT and IDEAS are second to none, even if they presenters are a bit unpolished. We love AUTHENTICITY and TRANSPARENCY over “polished content”.
I hope that helps your readers make a good decision!
God bless –

Thanks so much for commenting, Jim! I’ve updated the cons section with some of your ideas to make sure people see them. Let me know when the overhaul is finished, and can update that section of the review as well! 🙂
