Searching for a Marketplace Superheroes review that actually gives you a look into the course itself?

I got your back.

The Marketplace Superheroes Accelerate course talks a big game, promising to show you how to set up an Amazon wholesale business that earns enough passive income to replace your 9-to-5 grind.

But does it actually deliver?

Our research team rolled up their sleeves and dove into the Accelerate course, all in the name of separating fact from fiction.

Because, let’s face it, nobody wants to throw their money into the abyss with a subpar course (we’ve all been there). So in this Marketplace Superheroes Accelerate review, we’ll give it to you straight so you can decide if it’s your cup of tea.

Let’s dive in.

Psst! If you’re still unsure, check out this free Amazon Wholesale masterclass to test out the waters. Even if you decide not to buy the Accelerate program, you’ll still pick up some gold nuggets.

Marketplace Superheroes review: What to know about Accelerate

The Accelerate course takes you by the hand and teaches you how to build a passive income by sourcing and selling products as a wholesaler using Amazon FBA. It is a comprehensive course with solid student results, but there are some things you should know before investing in it.

I actually started a private-label FBA business back in the day. I didn’t want to spend money on a course, so I tried to figure out everything myself using free info online.

Things did not end well (to put it nicely), and I can’t help but wonder where I’d be today if I’d followed a program like Accelerate.

Okay, let’s start by looking at some important info about the course creators.

Stephen Somers review: Who even is this guy?

headshot of stephen somersof marketplace superheroes

Stephen Somers is an Amazon aficionado with 8+ years of Amazon marketplace experience.

He’s the face behind Marketplace Superheroes, and it’s safe to say he knows his stuff when it comes to selling on Amazon.

He runs MPSH with his wife (CEO), Mike (the wholesale expert), and Josh (the reselling expert).

Before creating the Accelerate program, Stephen created a different program, called Ignite, with a former business partner.

The Ignite program had mixed reviews among students, which is likely why they decided to sunset the course.

The Accelerate course teaches wholesaling, which is an entirely different Amazon business model than what the Ignite program taught (private labeling).

Wholesaling is more beginner-friendly. And so far, Accelerate students seem to be happy and are getting good results, but bear in mind that these results were posted on the official MPSH page.

What’s included in Marketplace Superheroes’ Accelerate course?

Marketplace Superheroes Accelerate has three different tiers.

marketplace superheroes accelerate tiers

We’ll cover the most comprehensive tier, Nitro, so make sure to read this page carefully to understand exactly what’s included with the tier you choose.

The course material is broken down into 3 parts:

  1. Course modules
  2. Bonuses
  3. Facebook community

#1.) The Accelerate course

The Accelerate course shows you how to build a profitable Amazon business based on their tried-and-true “Rule of 5” system.

In a nutshell, it’s:

5 products x $5 margin each x 5 countries x 5 sales a day x 30 days = $18,750 a month in revenue (roughly $4500 profit)

Simple and straightforward. But as you can imagine, setting up a system like this is easier said than done.

Fortunately, the course doesn’t just throw you into the deep end. They break the strategy down into three phases.

In Phase 1 (Mindset & Research), you discover how to uncover profitable products — the foundation to this business model.

In Phase 2 (Importing & Logistics), you learn how to go from idea to a functioning Amazon store.

And in Phase 3 (Business Expansion), you become an expert on marketing and growing your business.

The course has 8 modules with 102 lessons.

marketplace superheroes accelerate course modules

That’s a LOT of info to digest. So to help, they have a FAQ section at the end of each module that answers the most common questions.

To make sure you’re on the right track, Accelerate Nitro (and Dynamo) wraps up with a special “Graduation Workshop”.

This is basically an over-the-shoulder look at the MPSH team finding actual products that they would actually sell, putting theory into practice.

With Nitro, you also get a 1:1 coaching call where an Amazon coach will take a deep look into your business and give you personalized advice on how to proceed.

This review of Marketplace Superheroes is meant to focus on our experience inside the course, rather than general info you can easily find online.

But for the sake of completeness, here’s a quick look at what you learn in each module:

Shaping for Success. This module is all about mindset. It teaches you how to think like a business owner.

Foundations for Success. Learn about setting up a business, the documents and legal things you’ll need, and what your backend system will look like.

Building Your Supplier Pipeline. Learn how to find and contact suppliers for your products.

Products, Products, Products. Learn about product research, product pipeline, and how to source what you’re gonna sell.

Prepping and Shipping. Amazon has particular prep and shipping requirements you need to carefully follow. This module teaches you how to do it the right way.

Managing Your Business. Inventory management, repricing, restocking, and cashflow. If you don’t know what any of that means, you will after this module.

Account Health. Learn all about purchase orders and how to keep your account healthy so you can keep the money rolling in.

Growing and Scaling. Once you’ve got the basics down, learn how to grow and scale with essentially no income cap.

Each lesson has a video, additional resources, and homework to keep you on track.

We found the teaching method pretty easy to follow and the assignments helpful in retaining what we learned.

#2.) Bonuses

All of the tiers get the following “bonuses”:

👉 A toolkit with recommended software (and discounts) to speed up your processes.

👉 A blueprint workbook to fill out as you move through the course and keep you accountable.

👉 Module breakdown Q&A videos answering the most common questions from each module.

The reason I put “bonuses” in air quotes is because all of these things seem like they should just be included as a part of the main course.

Breaking them out into individual “bonuses” just seems like a marketing trick to me.

That said, the true bonuses come in if you decide to go with the Dynamo or Nitro tiers.

Depending on the tier, these include live calls, copy-and-paste templates, negotiation scripts, private Slack groups, and other advanced trainings.

To me, the most valuable are the live sessions where you can bring your burning questions and can get personalized help to overcome whatever obstacle you’re facing (and trust me, there will be obstacles).

#3.) Facebook community

If you still have questions that aren’t covered in the course or the bonuses, there is a Facebook community where you can get help from Stephen, MPSH admins, and other students who may have experience with whatever you’re struggling with.

Here’s an example I saw when poking around the group:

marketplace superheroes facebook group question

Their admin, Mike, is really on top of things, answering all the questions and helping people out.

marketplace superheroes accelerate facebook group

There’s some decent activity going on in here, but since it’s a closed group for students only, it’s not a ginormous group.

To give you an idea, there have been around 140 posts in the last month.

MPSH Accelerate cons ❌

As you know, every program has its flaws.

Here’s what I wasn’t a fan of.

Average community. The community isn’t as active as some other Amazon courses we’ve reviewed. Although it does seem like people’s questions are getting answered, which is what’s most important.

Requires investment. Although the initial investment for wholesaling is far less than private labeling, you still have to shell out money for your initial inventory and software to run your business. That said, there are few businesses on earth that do not require any investment – that’s just a part of being an entrepreneur. They mention the startup costs in their free webinar, so make sure to watch it carefully.

Misleading marketing. My biggest gripe isn’t about the course itself, it’s how they market the course. Their marketing style is way too hypey for my taste.

I used to work as a copywriter, so I get it — this type of writing gets people to take action. The idea is that if you actually have a helpful product, then you’d be doing people a disservice by not convincing them to buy.

But it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Yes, this is a legit business model. And yes, students are seeing success. But it is NOT as easy as they make it sound.

For example, here’s some of the phrases they use to promote their free masterclass:

example of marketplace superheroes hypey marketing

Risk free? I think we all know that starting any business involves risks.

If a business was foolproof with a 0% failure rate, everybody and their granny would be doing it.

example of MPSH hypey marketing

I’m sure some sellers make $500 profit per day in just a few hours per week. And who knows — maybe you’ll do it too.

But these results aren’t typical, and they forget to mention the blood, sweat, and tears these sellers poured into their business to get to this point.

This type of language is misleading and gives people unrealistic expectations.

MPSH Accelerate pros ✅

Leaves no stone unturned. The course is SUPER in depth and covers everything you need to know to build a successful business, step by step.

Location independent. The business model they teach can be run from anywhere, not just the US. They focus on a global business and the main instructor isn’t even from the US.

Lifetime access to FB mastermind. Some other training programs require an ongoing subscription to stay inside the course community. But all tiers of Accelerate come with lifetime access, so you’ll always have a place to ask questions.

Easy access to help. Live personalized help from Amazon experts (e.g. groups calls, Slack group, 1:1 coaching, etc. that you get in higher tiers) is worth the price of the course alone. Even Turbo (the cheapest tier) has weekly livestreams where you can submit questions in the chat. It’s reassuring to know you’ll have access to personalized help if you ever get stuck.

Crazy guarantees. They offer a 30-day money-back guarantee plus a pretty ballsy “double your money-back guarantee” (see below). Keep in mind, these guarantees eliminate the risk of losing money on the course, but they don’t account for any inventory or software you choose to invest in.

Marketplace Superheroes’ success stories

Whenever I’m skeptical about enrolling in a new course, it always helps when the seller has case studies showcasing successful students.

Fortunately, there are TONS of Marketplace Superheroes success stories. This page is jam-packed with video case studies from MPSH students who followed the program to build 5- and 6-figure Amazon businesses.

Here’s just a small sampling of the case studies.

Important note: These stories are from students of their Ignite course, which is being discontinued. That said, it’s still inspirational. And the Accelerate course is designed to be even more beginner-friendly than Ignite.

screenshot of marketplace superheroes testimonials videos

These are not only helpful in deciding if the program is right for you, but they’re also straight-up inspirational if you’re wondering, “Is Amazon FBA worth it still?”

Whether you join MPSH or not, browsing through their case studies can give you an inspirational kick in the pants whenever you’re feeling stuck in your journey.

TL;DR: Is Marketplace Superheroes worth it?

While the course does have some drawbacks, it’s hands down one of the most comprehensive Amazon wholesaling courses we’ve seen on the market. That said, it’s not for everybody.

This course is not for you if:

🔴 You think this will be as easy as their marketing makes it sound.

🔴 You don’t have any capital to invest. Wholesaling requires a smaller investment than private labeling, but you still need to pay the suppliers.

🔴 You prefer one-on-one learning (in which case, you’re better off finding an internship working for a successful seller).

🔴 You don’t have time in your schedule to start right away. If you buy a course that you plan to take “someday”, you’ll probably never get around to it (speaking from experience here).

This course is for you if:

🟢 You want to tap into a piece of sales from Amazon’s hundreds of millions of active shoppers.

🟢 You’re looking to start a side business or replace your 9-5.

🟢 You don’t have the budget or risk tolerance for the private labeling business model.

🟢 You understand that there is risk involved (just like any business).

🟢 You prefer a structured teaching method.

Are there any Marketplace Superheroes discounts?

There is currently no discount available.

However, if you’re bootstrapping and aren’t in a hurry to get started, you can wait to see if the program goes on sale in the future.

To get notified, join their email newsletter by registering for their free course. (This will also give you a better idea of what to expect).

There’s no saying when the next sale will be (if ever), so you might have to be patient. But better late than never, right?

Where can I sign up?

Marketplace Superheroes Alternatives

Marketplace Superheroes  Accelerate is the best option I’ve found if you want to learn the wholesaling strategy. But that said, there isn’t just one strategy to become successful in selling products on Amazon.

If you want to private label your own products, you should check out Freedom Ticket.

Freedom Ticket focuses on private labeling products on Amazon by using the Helium 10 platform of tools to improve your product’s SEO, marketing, and sales.

Freedom Ticket comes included for free when you sign up for Helium 10, which is one of the best software tools for Amazon sellers (something you probably should be using anyway). If you choose this route, you can get a pretty juicy discount with this link.

The price is comparable to Marketplace Superheroes, but the difference is it comes with the whoel suite of software tools.. C check out my Freedom Ticket course review to learn more about it..

For a more budget-friendly option, see my Proven Amazon course review. This is a ginormous bank of (somewhat unorganized) Amazon training courses.

It has a TON of content, but you have to dig through to find the gold. It’s also the best bang for your buck Amazon training — assuming you don’t use Helium 10. To dip your toes in the water, their $1 Amazon Blueprint teaches how to get your first sale in 30 days. Or for a deeper look behind-the-scenes, check out my Proven Amazon Course review.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Marketplace Superheroes a scam?

Marketplace Superheroes is not a scam. The Accelerate program is a new Amazon wholesaling course, teaching methods that are working in today’s Amazon environment. So far, it has received positive feedback from students.

Is there a discount code for Marketplace Superheroes?

There are no ongoing discount codes for Marketplace Superheroes. However, they do run special promotions every once in a while. To get notified of the next promotion, you can sign up for their email newsletter by going through their free course.

How long does it take to get through Marketplace Superheroes?

Marketplace Superheroes is self-paced, so it depends on how much time you commit to the course. They recommend dedicating 1-4 hours per day so you can get up and running as fast as possible.

Is Marketplace Superheroes legit?

Marketplace Superheroes is completely legitimate. The program gives you everything you need to succeed. All you need to do is take action. To help mitigate risk, they even offer to refund double the cost of the course if you don’t recoup your course investment in one year — who does that?

How much does Marketplace Superheroes cost?

The Marketplace Superheroes Accelerate program costs between $495 and $1,995, depending on which tier you choose. This does not include the investment you will need to make in your inventory or software tools that help run your business.

Does Marketplace Superheroes work?

If you follow the Marketplace Superheroes framework and take advantage of their support, you maximize your odds of success. This business model is inherently risky, just like starting any business. But it is far less risky than other Amazon models, like private labeling.

Can’t you just find all this stuff online for free?

You might be able to piece together info from various different sources, but there’s a lot of bad info floating around. You’ll never know if you’re following a proven plan. Even if you do piece together a viable plan, forgetting just one important task can be disastrous (speaking from experience). For example, if you follow bad advice and choose a dud product, you could be stuck with thousands of dollars of inventory (been there, done that). Or if you make a shipping or importing mishap, you could end up losing more money than it would’ve cost to simply invest in a training program from the get-go. In the end, it’s your choice if it’s worth the extra work and risk.
