10 Best Luxury Travel Gifts Money Can Buy

Last Update:

Well well well…so you’re a baller, are you?

If you’re looking for the best luxury travel gifts for your loved one, you’re in the right place.

The following gift ideas fall into the “luxury” category for one of two reasons:
1.) They’ll give the traveler in your life a more luxurious travel experience, or
2.) They’re simply a bit more expensive than your average gift

So, if you’ve got more money than you know what to do with, here are some luxury travel gifts and accessories that’ll blow your travel lover’s mind. (Also, why don’t you send some of that extra dough over to Uncle Mitch while you’re at it?).

Half of these ideas are things I already use. The other half are things I wish people would buy for me (hint hint).

If you want even more idea, make sure to check out this list of best OVERALL travel gifts.

#1.) Amazon Kindle Paperwhite

Kindle Paperwhite (16 GB) – Now with a 6.8' display and adjustable warm light + 3 Months Free Kindle Unlimited (with auto-renewal) – Agave Green

This is hands down one of the best gifts for travelers who love to read. And you know what?

I’d even go as far as to say it’s a great travel gift even for people who DON’T read that much.

Why?

Travel has a weird way of turning people into readers.

Because when you travel “off-the-grid” to remote destinations, there is oftentimes nothing to do except read.

The Kindle Paperwhite is the most basic version of the Kindle, but it’s perfect for travel. It can hold thousands of books, is easy to read in any lighting condition, has a battery that lasts for weeks between charges, and is even waterproof!

#2.) Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

Sony WH1000XM3 Noise Cancelling Headphones, Wireless Bluetooth Over the Ear Headset – Black (2018 Version)

You’d be surprised at how much more enjoyable travel can be with a quality pair of noise-cancelling headphones.

I use my Sony WH1000XM3’s to

  • Block out crying babies on planes and buses so I can rest
  • Listen to podcasts to kill time on long trips
  • Focus on work in noisy environments
  • Protect my hearing (no need to crank up the volume since outside noise is blocked)
  • Pretend I’m listening to something so annoying people don’t talk to me

Plus, travel can be hyper-stimulating. You’re constantly being forced outside your comfort zone. It feels nice to just relax in your own little bubble every once in a while.

There are many great noise cancelling headphones on the market, but after testing out the most popular ones, this pair of Sonys are by far my favorite.

They’re truly one of the best luxury travel gifts money can buy.

#3.) Bose QuietComfort 20 Noise Cancelling Earbuds

Bose QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones, Apple Devices, Black

As much as I love the Sony headphones above, they’re obviously not the best travel gift for an ultra-light traveler who doesn’t have much space.

If that’s the case, the Bose QuietComfort 20 Earbuds offer top-of-the-line noise cancelling in a much more compact, travel-friendly size.

#4.) Jabra Elite 65t “True Wireless” Workout Earbuds

Jabra Elite 65t Earbuds – Alexa Built-in, True Wireless Earbuds with Charging Case, Titanium Black – Bluetooth Earbuds Engineered for The Best True Wireless Calls and Music Experience

Here’s the last “luxurious” headphones gift recommendation I have. The Jabra Elite 65t Wireless Earbuds are the perfect travel earbuds for travelers who like to exercise on the road (these are what I use for my travel workouts).

They are completely wireless, waterproof, and dustproof (IP55 rated)…in other words, perfect for the sweaty traveler who ain’t afraid to get dirty!

#5.) Travelpro “Smart” Luggage

Travelpro Platinum Elite Softside Expandable Carry on Luggage, 8 Wheel Spinner Suitcase, USB Port, Suiter, Men and Women, Shadow Black, Carry On 21-Inch

This luxury travel gift is perfect for the tech-savvy traveler who spends a lot of time at the airport.

With a built-in USB charger (that is removable to comply with airline regulations), your traveler will never have to trek through the airport hunting for charging stations again.

The best part is the Travelpro Platinum Elite comes at a surprisingly affordable price (compared to the competition), and even includes a warranty against damages caused by those pesky heavy-handed baggage handlers.

#6.) Kimono Travel Robe

U2SKIIN Womens Robes, 100% Cotton Lightweight Robes 3/4 Sleeves Kimono Knit Soft Loungewear Short Bathrobe(Navy,XL)

This probably won’t make the cut for a long-term backpacking trip. But it definitely has its place on a luxury weekend getaway trip.

This Kimono Robe is lightweight and will make your traveler feel like a queen after a nice bubble bath or dip in the pool.

#7.) Luxury Travel Eye Mask

Dream Essentials - Escape 3D Sleep Mask, Earplugs and Carry Pouch Set, Molded Eye Shade for Men and Women, Contoured, Nose Bridge, Light Block, Memory Foam, Gift Set, Travel, Yoga, Blindfold - Black

This isn’t your ordinary eye mask.

This a luxury mask. With a contoured fit and special breathable “eye chambers”, this mask will help your traveler get the beauty sleep they deserve.

This luxury travel accessory even comes with a travel pouch and earplugs!

#8.) iPad Pro

Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (6th Generation): with M2 chip, Liquid Retina XDR Display, 128GB, Wi-Fi 6E, 12MP front/12MP and 10MP Back Cameras, Face ID, All-Day Battery Life – Space Gray

An iPad Pro is the ultimate luxury travel gift for light packers who want to stay connected, but don’t want to lug around a heavy laptop.

iPad’s are handy because you can download Netflix movies offline (unlike a laptop), so your favorite traveler will be able to keep themselves entertained during flights, bus rides, hotel rooms, etc.

They aren’t cheap, but if you want to buy a present that’s guaranteed to get a lot of use…this is it!

#9.) The “Rolls Royce” of Electric Travel Toothbrushes

Oral-B Genius 8000 Electric Electric Toothbrush with Bluetooth Connectivity, Black

This luxury travel gift is perfect for those who don’t like to mess around when it comes to dental hygiene.

The Oral-B Genius Pro is quite literally a genius. It connects to your smartphone and uses positioning and facial recognition software to show which teeth have been brushed and which are still dirty.

It also has sensors that adjust brush speed to protect your gums.

Lastly, it comes with a smart travel case that can be used to charge both your toothbrush AND your smartphone.

Whoever said brushing your teeth couldn’t be fun?

#10.) Lamy 2000 Luxury Pen

Lamy 2000 Fountain Pen Black Fine

Carrying a nice pen while traveling makes life easier. You don’t want the fancy traveler in your life having to borrow from strangers or fight over the one pen in the immigration line, do you?

No. A luxurious traveler needs a luxurious pen. And the Lamy 2000 is one of the top-rated, most luxurious pens money can buy.

Constructed with fiberglass, stainless steel, and 14k gold, this is the pen of champions. (Just be careful about who you lend it to!)

Best Luxury Travel Gifts Recap

The good news about buying a luxury travel gift for the adventurer in your life is that, since it costs more, it’ll be one of their favorite gifts by default. (Yay!)

That said, if you want to make it REALLY special, make sure to add a personal touch.

Make a killer handmade card. Surprise them. Trick them into thinking you got something cheap…

Whatever extra touch you add, it’ll go a long way and ensure your gift is remembered forever!
